Exercise Routine for Shaping Your Butt

Envy the way those pants fall on those butts no more. Many a women wish for nice firm butts for some reason, having one or not having one greatly affects women’s self esteem most especially if they see others parading their nice and firm butts around. Do not fret because there are exercises that you can apply to shape those butts and make them firmer. The butt area has been observed by many as the bane of many women’s existence. Why is this so? Well, anatomically, women are meant to bear children and nine months of carrying a baby and eating food that is laden with fats do not help the butt’s shape any bit. So maintaining a round, shapely butt poses a huge problem for women. However, you can perform the following exercises to kick start your butt shape enhancing path.

The hamstring curl – The best exercise by far in toning you butt. Face down on a leg-curl gym machine, raise your feet towards your butt carrying the padded lever upwards. Repeat this procedure as long as you want. Feel your butt tighten.

The butt kickback – hands and knees on the mat or the floor, lift your right leg first keeping a 90 degree knee bend making sure that your foot is raised higher than your head. Do it with the left leg and repeat as long as you want.

Lunge – with dumbbells on both hands and your legs shoulder length apart, move a step forward with your left leg but keep your leg centered over your ankle. Push of with your heels and not with your toes to maintain balance. To return to your original position, make sure that your knees and hips are straight. Try the other leg and repeat as often as you want.

The very famous squat can do a lot to your butt, more than you can imagine. It not only helps tone the butt, it also helps in shaping your legs and hips, parts of your body that are ravaged by pregnancy and giving birth. With a barbell on your trap s and shoulders, look straight forward and slowly bend your knees, forwarding your upper torso a few inches and then take a deep breath. Then push using your heels to get back to your original position. Repeat as often as you want.

While doing these butt exercises, keep in mind these activities alone do not get rid of your body fat. Hence, it would be wise to couple these butt exercises with cardio activities to help in your weight reducing endeavors. And on top of this, you also have to incorporate a healthy diet.
